Dr. Jeffrey Mono is one of the five board-certified ophthalmologists providing superior patient eye-care at the Midwest Center for Sight. Dr. Mono is a talented Chicago cataract surgery specialist and an expert in oculoplastics, which includes reconstructive surgery around the eye related to injury or pathology. Dr. Jeffrey Mono also performs eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), as well as some cosmetic procedures including Botox, Restylane, Juvederm, Cosmoderm and Cosmoplast.
Dr. Mono received his medical degree from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he also received his bachelor's degree. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University followed by an Oculoplastics Surgery Fellowship at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Mono is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the Chicago Ophthalmologic Society, the American as well as a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Mono has been in private practice for over 20 years and has served as the Division Chairman of Ophthalmology at Lutheran General Hospital since 2002.
Dr. Mono specializes in all cosmetic procedures, cataracts with Intraocular Lens implants including AcrySof ReSTOR, Toric, and IQ Monofocal; Latisse, and treatment of all medical eye conditions.
